Sadly even though the 3D artwork is great, the models of most of the female characters as well as male are using the same 3D model with some variation and different costume, so you are not wrong by saying they look almost like sisters, but they arent, at least in the novel there's no mention of their appearances being the same lol

at this point i don't care if same look or not, the fight scene and image is top notch series that I collected, just wondering how far season 2 going to take the story. If Han going be killing the bad guy that took the girl away and meet his love Nangong Wan more haha

Kind of lol, there are only a few that gets to reincarnate unfortunately or maybe every does but the novel never mentions them, there are some like Chen Qiaoqian, the one who was drugged and almost raped that reincarnates into another non human race

I love this series so much, thanks for the info, the author created such a masterpiece in the making!! The little details in this donghua are magnificent, showing the possibilities in this world, how each character thinks and (re)acts to others and their independent choices made from the options before them. This is damn near genius material, glad the animation, art and CGI is superb!!

The characters are thoughtful and complex. Even his 1st teacher from the beginning. At first you thought he was good and saving Han Li & his friend. Then he murders the friend and is basically like the witch in Hansel & Gretal. He's just basically "fattening him up" before (metaphorically) eating him, for his cultivation...but also for his own survival. So, the doctor, his 1st teacher is basically an evil monster...but its not so simple. Han Li even did quite a lot to protect his master's family after his death. There are lots of people with all kinds of selfish plans in the novel, not the least of which is this invasion of the "devil path" sects and the great war. Reading the novel Han Li travels and meets lots of people and you get the sense that no one is really completely good or completely evil.

Try the novel. Its quite unusual for the genre. Honestly most cultivation stories are pretty stupid and seem to be written to appeal to pre-pubescent boys with very low IQ. Of course there are still hordes of adoring fans (myself included) who eat this stuff up. But Fanren is a welcome repreive to the cookie-cutter genre.

Nangong Wan's character and their interaction is a bit different than in the novel. Maybe to make their intimacy a bit more believable.
Also any one notice the character models are more fantastical in this season than the season 1, where they were more realistic? Especially with the females.

Love the series, Han li is awesome but would love him to get all the lady since he had so many chicks would be on his side. Fight scene is top notch so realistic and better than matrix or Marvel in my eye even though I got all the Marvel movie lol

Han Li is pretty shy actually. In the novel he is not handsome at all, he is quite average. You could almost say his super power is to be sort of a wallflower, quiet and off to the side where no one notices him. This alone has saved him lot of deadly problems and hassles and conflicts. As to girls, well he has saved several of them and they have developed feelings for him, some even fell in love, but he never once took advantage of that. Honestly maybe his playing hard to get is actually attractive to those girls. In the end, there is only one girl in his heart, Nangong Wan.

She actually wasn't suppose to be there. Her sect reduced her cultivation to cheat her into that place. Unfortunately they de-levelled her too much and she almost got killed. In reality she is way more powerful than that.
